Coal and public health: The picture isn't pretty (hamptonroads)

By Brian Moench Recently a Chesapeake Bay Foundation report concluded that the
proposed Surry coal power plant would cause $200 million in health
consequences per year. Even that is an underestimation. More than 2,000
studies published in the mainstream medical literature within the past 10
years reveal a much more disturbing account of air pollution's health impact
than was previously known.
