Soap Dish: Legendary Soap Actor John Ingle Dies At Age 84

It is Soap Dish time again and this week I am dishing about a legendary actor who was died. General Hospital’s John Ingle passed away on Saturday at age 84, so sad. John died at his home on Saturday according to a posting by his family on Facebook. The news was just shared with fans today and all I can say is what a great loss the daytime community has suffered today. As many of you know Ingle was best known for his portrayal of Edward Quartermaine on the ABC hit soap opera General Hospital. In fact viewers got?a glimpse of Edward last week for the first time in months. It would be appear that those scenes would be the final scenes the actor had on the show. As the news of his passing spread cast members, crew members and fans have taken to social media like Facebook and Twitter to sing the praises of a truly talented man. I for one remember him not only as Edward but as Days Of Our Lives Mickey Horton for a couple of years. I have admired him for oh so many years.
