2012 Lifetime Sports Academy Season Opens at McMillen Park

FORT WAYNE, Ind. (Indiana?s NewsCenter) - This summer, children can get free sports lessons in Fort Wayne.

The Lifetime Sports Academy opens for its 15th year at McMillen Park, to boys and girls age 8- 18.

Participants can earn new sports equipment.

The seven week program is organized by the city's parks and recreation department.

And thousands of children attend the program each year, with free lessons given in sports like golf, tennis and swimming.

Arts and crafts, volleyball, soccer and softball are also offered from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. every day.
